On the 15th and 16th of October 2008, AMT – the African Microfinance Transparency forum, held its first ever Microfinance Investor’s Fair in Dakar, Senegal. The event brought together over 35 rated African MFIs hailing from 20 different countries with more than 18 microfinance investors and fund providers.
Due to the positive feedback received from participants, AMT’s General Assembly, which took place on the 17th October, voted to repeat the event this year.
